About Us

My love affair with the Alaskan Malamute started in 1989 when I purchased my first girl “Nanook” and from there I grew and have never looked back. . I am currently a registered breeder with the Canadian Kennel Club and a member of The Alaskan Malamute Club of Canada. In past years I have served on their board of Directors as Membership Sect as well as Area Representative. I have been involved with the Alaskan Malamute Help League in which I was one of the founding members. I actively compete in conformation showing and have finished both American and Canadian Champions.  “CH Shelaskan’s Bring me a DreamBarrick was #10 male malamute in Canada (1993) AMCC standings

In earlier years I had the pleasure of being involved with  St. John Ambulance Therapy dog program, where we visited old age homes and schools and joined in Santa Claus parades.

Our malamutes are also our family members, we like to include them in all our activities, as pictured below  our senior boy Dakota was our ring barer for our wedding December 20,  2008. Our wedding party also consisted of both David and my human children.

After experiencing dog sledding for the first time David was hooked. He couldn’t wait to purchase his first dog sled to start enjoying the winter activities.

So many times puppy clients  have  asked us were they could  purchase harnesses, backpacks and sledding equipment so that they  can do fun activities with their malamutes, We are proud to now be able to offer these items through our site http://www.kninetreks.webs.com . Here you will find a list of items from skijoring belts to bike Springer’s.
